Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

On Saturday, detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced arrests in two recent robbery cases on the Hill.

On Tuesday, November 28th, a 31-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both of Southeast, were arrested for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred in the 300 block of Eighth Street SE. 

At around 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, November 28th, as the victims were walking down that block, two suspects approached multiple victims and demanded their property.  The suspects took the property and ran away.  The suspects were apprehended by responding officers. 

Another arrest was made on Saturday, December 2nd. Pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 20-year-old Southeast man was arrested for an armed robbery that happened on the 700 block of 13th Street SE.

At around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28th the victim was approached by two suspects who engaged him in conversation. One pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim gave it to him and the suspects fled the scene.

This second case remains under investigation.
