On Saturday, June 30 at about 11:55 p.m., there was an armed carjacking in front of 630 E Street SW.
The victim was parked on the side of the road when an unknown person came up to his window. The person asked for directions, then pulled out a handgun. The victim exited his vehicle and the suspect got into the vehicle, driving it away Southbound on Seventh Street SW.
A lookout was issued that evening for a bearded black male with short hair and a thin build. The stolen car is a 2005 tan-colored Honda Civic with Virginia tag: VZV3088.
