Capitol Hill BID Welcomes New Marketing Manager

Patty Brosmer, President of the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District (CHBID), announced Thursday that McKenna Pugh has been hired as the BID’s new Marketing and Events Manager.

McKenna’s responsibilities will include enhancing community outreach through events and digital media, all while fostering meaningful relationships between businesses, visitors and the Capitol Hill community.

“Seeing the impact of the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District in the community makes me excited to take part in the difference we make in the neighborhood,” said Pugh. “I can’t wait to continue to serve this incredible community.”

With prior experience starting a small business and coordinating successful events, McKenna is already bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the CHBID. Her past experience also includes working alongside the CHBID team as the Marketing and Events Intern for Ready, Willing & Working (RWW) and the execution of the 11th Annual Magic & Miracles Gala.

“When a need for a new marketing manager arose McKenna was already in-house as our intern,” said Brosmer. “Her work was so impressive that we decided to give her the job and she continues to shine in the position.”

McKenna is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, and as a recent graduate from George Washington University is excited to continue living and working in the District.

The Capitol Hill Business Improvement District is a 501 (c)(6) non-profit organization funded through an assessment on commercial property owners who are dedicated to fortifying Capitol Hill as a cleaner and safer place to live, work, and conduct the business of our nation’s capital, while remaining a national and cultural tourist destination. To achieve this mission the CHBID provides enhanced services that augment those already provided by the District of Columbia government. These supplementary services include: hospitality, street cleaning, maintenance and graffiti removal, streetscape improvements, marketing and promotional services and community outreach.
