Early Tuesday morning, a man attempted to rob the Barracks Row 7-Eleven, threatening the employees with an unusual dangerous weapon.
At around 4:52 a.m., an employee told officers that a suspect armed with hammer entered the 7-Eleven located at 407 Eighth St. NE and forced the employee to open the cash .
The suspect took the money from the cash drawer and other goods from the store before fleeing on foot.
