A man was shot in the parking lot of the Pennsylvania Avenue SE McDonald’s Tuesday night. Another man was shot but his injuries were not life-threatening.
Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1500 block of K Street SE around 9:43 p.m. When they got there, they found one man unconcious inside a car and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DCFEMS) responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
A second man was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The decedent has been identified as 22 year-old Trevon Williams, of Southeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s Text Tip Line by sending a text message to 50411.

At 2:32 a.m. Tuesday, there was an unarmed carjacking on the 1000 block of M Street SE.
At 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, a man was arrested on the 700 block of 21st Street NE on charges of Assault with Significant Bodily Injury.
At 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, a car was stolen on the 900 block of New Jersey Avenue NW.
At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman was arrested on the 800 block of 21st Street NE on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
Reporting Illegal Activity
Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities helps prevent crime. If a citizen sees suspicious activity, or any activity that seems out of the ordinary, immediately call 911.
When reporting suspicious activity, give an accurate description. Here are some things to include:
Brief description of the activity;
- Date, time and location of the activity;
- Physical identifiers of anyone you observed;
- Descriptions of vehicles;
- Information about where people involved in suspicious activities may have gone;
- Your name and information.
