DC Water Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on the proposed retail rates, charges and fees for the next two years. The hearing is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 5 and will be held remotely due to the public health crisis.
DC Water held a series of remote town hall meetings with customers in all eight wards of the District. More than 4,100 people participated in the meetings in June and July.
Individuals or representatives of an organization who wish to present testimony at the public hearing are requested to furnish name, address, telephone number and the organization they represent (if any) by calling 202-787-2330 or emailing the request to [email protected] no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday August 3. Other persons wishing to present testimony may testify after those on the witness list.
Oral presentations by individuals will be limited to 5 minutes. Oral presentations made by representatives of an organization will not be longer than 10 minutes. All statements should be submitted in writing. The hearing will end when all persons wishing to make comments have been heard.
