There were at least three carjackings on the Hill over the weekend and into the early hours Monday.
One took place around 8 p.m. Saturday on the 700 block of L St SE. The lookout was issued for a white 2017 Toyota Camry with Maryland registration. It was last seen going westbound on the 600 block of L St SE. The suspects were described as two juvenile Black males wearing dark clothing.
On Sunday morning at about 2:24 a.m. there was an armed carjacking on the 200 block of 13th Street SE. Taken was a 2016 Black Toyota Corolla with a MD Tag of 47257CL. The two suspects were reportedly armed with a black gun equipped with a green laser.
And early Monday morning, there was an armed carjacking on the 1300 block of E Street SE. A lookout was issued for two Black males. The first was described as slim, about 6’1″ and in his early 20s, wearing black clothing and armed with a handgun. The other was about 5’8″, also slim and about the same age. The suspects were driving a white Hyundai. Taken was a dark blue 2022 Toyota Avalon with MD tags, 8FC3642.
Robberies
On Saturday night just after 10 p.m. two Black males in their mid-twenties wearing dark-colored hoodies robbed four victims, taking wallets and iphones.
Late Sunday, at around 10:30 p.m. police were investigating an armed robbery on the 200 block of 16th Street SE. A lookout was issued for two Black males wearing dark clothing and face masks. Both were armed with handguns.
