Purchasing your Thanksgiving pies through Food & Friends’ Slice of Life is the sweetest way to give back this holiday season. Each pie purchased from Food & Friends provides one full day of home-delivered meals. Now in its 19th year, Slice of Life has become a tradition in the metro area. The $30 pies are classic pumpkin, cherry, sweet potato and apple crumble; $40, nutty pecan; and $45, sea salt chocolate chess. Pie sales close on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Pick-up day is Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 28.
