Police Release Images of Suspect in Shooting Near Eastern

Police have released images of suspects they are looking for after a shooting near Eastern High School Friday morning.

Police came to the 1700 block of East Capitol Street NE after getting reports of a shooting. They found a 15-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers said he was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the shooting was not linked to Eastern, nor did it happen in the school building or on the grounds. Rather, the teen was shot in an alley behind an apartment complex on the 1700 block of East Capitol Street SE. The victim then ran to Eastern High School for assistance, which was across East Capitol Street.

The shooting suspects and their vehicle were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the images above.

Anyone who can identify these suspects or has any leads linked to this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text anonymous video, photos or tips to the Department’s Text Tip Line at 50411.

MPD currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
