E. Ethelbert Miller lives in the Brightwood neighborhood (Ward 4). He has been a resident of Washington D.C. since 1968. From 1974-2015 he was the director of the African American Resource Center at Howard University. His poems can be found outside the Dupont Circle and Petworth Metro stations. He was recently presented with a Furious Flower Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. In 2023 he was a Grammy Finalist in the Spoken Word and Poetry category.
Mr. Miller is the author of the baseball trilogy which includes the following books: If God Invented Baseball (2018); When Your Wife has Tommy John Surgery and other Baseball Stories (2021); and How I Found Love Behind the Catcher’s Mask (2022).
