Teenager Charged As Adult in 2024 “Pattern” Robbery Offenses

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announces the arrest of one suspect in relation to a pattern of robbery offenses that occurred over less than two hours one December morning in 2024.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025 police arrested a 17-year-old of Northeast DC under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant.

He was charged as an adult under Title 16 with five counts of Armed Robbery (Gun), one count of Attempt Robbery, and one count of Robbery (Force and Violence).

The accused is one party that is sought in connection with the below-listed offenses that occurred on Dec. 2, 2024.

At around 6:01 a.m., three suspects approached the victim in the 600 block of Tenth Street NE. The suspects pointed handguns and demanded property. The suspects took the victim’s property and then fled the scene in a vehicle.

About a half hour later, about 6:30 a.m., three suspects approached another victim at Third Street and K Street NE. The suspects attempted to take the victim’s property and then fled the scene.

Just before 7 a.m. the suspects approached victims on the 1300 block of East Capitol Street NE. One produced a gun and demanded property, which the victim surrendered.

About five minutes later, at 7:00 a.m., three suspects approached a victim on the 1800 block of Burke Street SE. They again pointed a gun at the victim, took property and fled.

Half an hour later, at 7:30 a.m., suspects approached another person on the 200 block of I Street NE, assaulted the victim and fled the scene with their property.

A bit later, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the suspect approached the victim in the 600 block of D Street NE. The suspect prodcued a handgun, took the victim’s property and then fled.

16 minutes later, at 7:46 a.m., suspects approached another victim on the 600 block of Constitution Avenue NE. One pointed a gun, then all fled with the victim’s property.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
